About
Who we are
We are a non profit sporting club who practice the sport of archery at our range at the foothills of Mt Keira. We are one of the largest Clubs in NSW and have over 200 members each year. The club facilities are available to its members 7 days a week. We practise target, field and indoor archery for compound, recurve, barebow recurve and compound, and longbow.
We are affiliated with the Archery Society of NSW and in turn with Archery Australia and World Archery. This allows our members to enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of shooting tournaments with other clubs throughout Australia.
Who can shoot at our Club ?
Any club member who has paid the appropriate shooting membership fees or any visiting member from another Archery Australia affiliated club who is a current member of Archery Australia.
Also any visiting member of an Archery Alliance Club (ABA / 3DAAA) upon payment of the visitors fee.

Our Facilities
We have two ranges for target shooting - the main range, and a smaller beginners / training range. In addition, we have one of the best Field Courses in the state. We have a full 24 marked field target course, each with markers for yellow, blue and red pegs (distances).
In addition, we have a club house with undercover areas for gear setup and social gathering. The club house also has a number archery related tools and jigs.
We have toilet facilities for men, women, and wheel chair access.
As a member, access is available to all club facilities during daylight hours (we do not have any lighting on the ranges) every day of the year.
There are separate facilities in our coaching and training area, primarily used for our Beginners Courses.

Executive Committee and Club Officers
A 7 member executive committee is approved at the AGM each year. Being a member of the executive can be a rewarding way for you to maintain and improve both the facilities and the opportunities that are enjoyed by members. We also have number of non-executive roles that are focused on specific functions in the club. No special skills are needed, just a wish to get stuck in and have a go.
Tournaments
We host several tournaments each year which are open to entry from archers from interstate and other NSW archery clubs. Tournaments provide archers the opportunity to test their skills against a wider cross section of the archery community and are key social events on our calendar. See our Special Events page and Calendar page. We also have regular club shoots on Saturday mornings and, in daylight savings, on Thursday evenings, and the upcoming shoots are listed on the Home page in the Illawarra Archers Events box.
