Golden Field

The Golden Field is for novice archers of all age divisions and makes the perfect introduction to field archery competitions in a relaxed environment.

The tournament is conducted under normal field tournament rules and conditions. Each competitor will be assigned to a group of 3 or 4 people, and an experienced archer will be in each group to assist all day.

The Course:

the tournament will be held on our renowned field course, with 24 targets set out in our bushland course

Targets:

special white pegs will be in use, setting varying distances to each target to between 5m and 30m

24 targets

3 arrows at each target for each shooter

72 arrows total per shooter

target faces are determined by the shooting distance, and will be one of the 20cm, 40cm, 60cm, or 80cm faces.

Scoring:

field faces have 2 gold rings in the centre, scoring 6 or 5 points, with the black outer rings scoring 4, 3, 2, or 1 point. 

scoring will be arrow by arrow on paper and in iScored.  Please bring your (fully charged) smart phone or tablet if you have one.

Timetable:

8:30am - arrive, register, equipment setup, practice (on the range targets)

9:00am - equipment inspection (event judge will check bows, arrows, and equipment are within event specifications)

9:30am - muster - all shooters gather for event and course instructions

10:00am - shooters arrive at their assigned first target and commence shooting
