2026 Golden Gong
Hosted by Illawarra Archers
Sunday May 3 2026
updated 20/4/26
The Golden Gong is for novice archers of all age divisions and makes the perfect introduction to archery competitions in a relaxed environment.
We encourage all our novice archers to attend - you could stand on the podium for the first time to receive your first tournament medal, while gaining valuable experience, meeting visiting archers from other clubs and having a lot of fun.
For Illawarra Archers, don’t worry about having club distance qualifications. Because a tournament is fully controlled by a Director of Shooting (DOS) and Judges, distance qualifications don’t apply. It will help however to try to get your sight settings before then for the distances required.
The tournament is conducted under normal tournament rules and conditions with experienced archers on hand to assist all day.
Please direct any inquiries to recorder@illawarraarchers.org and we will get back to you within a day.
